Matamata Pools, NZ
The Matamata Pool Project involved a bespoke Cargo 15.00m x 30.00m x 3.0m structure by manufactured by HR Structures. This structure, installed at Matamata Swim Zone, was designed for long-term use with a 25-year design life. Australian Temporary Structures and NZ Temporary Structures tailored the design to suit the high humidity environment for prolonged durability.
Summerset Retirement Village
Provided a 12.00m x 20.00m x 3.00m Perth Structure with a curved Thermo roof, which was chosen for its excellent insulation and climate control qualities. The structure included a unisex toilet facility, open plan kitchen with white gloss cabinets. Now the residents of Summerset Cranbourne North have a great space to eat, chat and play.
Griffin Biscuits, NZ
To cost-efficiently manage seasonal loads, Griffin Biscuits New Zealand expanded their deliveries with a canopy to effectively handle their product delivery. The ATS team constructed the building. The canopy structure provided Griffin Biscuits with a weather proof and secure space to process their deliveries. The 15m x 20m structure on a 5.2 leg height, was a seamless addition to their existing facility.
Inter Islander Ferry Terminal Project
The construction of a new ferry terminal in Waitohi Picton, New Zealand, ushered in a new era for the Interislander fleet. This project provides a significant improvement to the current facilities, including a new Interislander terminal building and wharf to accommodate the two new purpose-built and greener Interislander ferries. In 2023, NZ Temporary Structures built a 15m x 65m structure with a 4.2m side height.
FOX Studios
For this build, we created a custom industrial structure with a 10.00m ridge height, and had to meet the challenge of a sloped site. We engineered and manufactured all the structural supports to create a 2.5 tonne capacity industrial floor. We added large roller doors to allow for easy access. And built a mezzanine level to allow for heavy loads as FOX Studios needed flexibility in the design for many types of uses.
Hornsby TAFE
Hornsby TAFE needed a temporary teaching facility to increase onsite capacity for delivering Construction classes. The biggest challenge was the uneven surface of the site. FloorStak flooring system was used for immediate support. Structure with a partial mezzanine was chosen measuring 25.00m wide x 40.00m in length on a 6.20m side height. A Charcoal and White Thermo-inflated roofing system was installed to minimise internal condensation and provide insulation. 60mm insulated sandwich walling panels were fitted with an 8.00m roller shutter door and polycarbonate and louvre windows.
Rackley Swimming Pool Enclosure
Rackley Swimming were faced with the challenges of rebuilding their whole pool complex and needed a temporary pool to provide their patrons with an indoor swimming pool facility. For this build, we choose a 15 metre x 25 metre with 3m side height, including an underdeck built on concrete blocks and a Floorstak decking system 600mm high to cover the pool area. Other features included:
Single skin roof, 11 bays of Iso panel insulated walls, 1 Double glass door , 6 bays of clear vinyl walls, and single glass door.
Singleton gym
The popular Singleton Gym, jointly operated by the YMCA and Singleton Local Council, sought an alternative venue to provide members with convenient gym facilities throughout the period of renovation and refurbishment of the existing venue. We utilised the gym’s existing car park to construct a 15m x 20m curved premium structure to create a temporary gym for members. The build took one week to complete with a team of 6 people. Much of this time was spent packing in the floor due to the uneven surface of the existing car park space. The structure was pegged and weighted to enable services under the floor and electricity for mainline power for electrical equipment.
Karratha Project
Chevron had the requirement for a storage facility for mining associated equipment in the Pilbara, WA.
The challenge was compounded by the structures’ location in the highest wind region of Australia and to withstand cyclones more than 180km per hour, therefore we added cyclone footings. The warehouses measured 50.00m x 80.00m x 4.00m.
Metro Trains Project
Downer was appointed to Melbourne’s High Capacity Metro Trains project to build 65 high capacity metro trains. Installed a storage facility to house their equipment that is still ongoing today. Warehouse structure featured: 3 x thermo roof sheet with gable uprights, 14 x 5.00m bays of steel sheet walls with cable trays, 2 x Roller door insulated electric, Personnel door and Lighting.
Richmond Rd Project
Australian Temporary Structures in conjunction with Seymour Whyte Constructions installed a warehouse during the NSW Government’s widening of Richmond Road. The industrial structure featured: Single layer PVC roof, 1 side and 1 end with Iso panel walling, 4 panels per bay, 1 side and 1 end in centre lace PVC walling, Structure held down with concrete weights, and 6 x LED Lights.
